Non-profit organization to promote Tex-Mex
The goal of ETM is to celebrate/publicize those establishments that are doing TexMex right.
They meet minimum criteria of excellence in a certain number of categories.
These are not necessarily ‘fancy’ places – just places that care enough to make TexMex properly.
Mom/Pop places, dives will show up here.
Homemade is important. Friendly service counts too.
Bonus points to New Mexico style, as green chiles are the bomb.
Commended restaurants will be visited at least annually confirm they are still ‘bringing it’
